What a great session. I’ve gotten bogged down by thoughts like “is this company really right for me” and identifying all reasons why an opportunity might not be a good fit. Unfortunately, if you’ve ever felt trapped in a job, this is an easy mindset to fall into. That’s why it was so helpful to hear “don’t worry if you’ll like it, just get the offer first”. Getting an offer definitely requires that you appear 100% committed. My career has been a series of jobs/promotions in one company, where it was supposedly taboo to interview for a position you didn”t plan to take if offered. I’ve been acting as though this “rule” still exists. I can now see that it doesn’t. Thanks Connie and Caroline!
